The first time I got glasses was when I was in elementary school. I remember squinting a lot in class and trying to sit in the front so that I could see better. Then in high school, I got contacts because glasses weren’t considered “cool”. Later on in my 20’s, I got Lasik and I was so happy because I didn’t have to wear glasses OR contacts! It was so liberating. It was like I had a brand new pair of eyes. I remember going to get my eyes examined every year during that time.
But after all that investment of time and money to fix my eyes, I forgot about getting an annual eye exam! I thought my vision was corrected so there was nothing else I needed to do but boy was I wrong.
Hi Everyone! It’s been about a month since my last post due to vacations and gearing up for the new school year but I’m back! I wanted to share with you guys a sneak peek of the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe at Irvine Spectrum Center that will be opening up on Friday, September 14th at 11am!
The Hello Kitty Grand Cafe is a permanent brick and mortar store that is located in the newly expanded section of the Irvine Spectrum Center. It’s the first cafe of its kind in the United States! How exciting is that?! View Post
Last week, I wrote a post about why I left my job as a teacher to become a stay-at-home mom. Well today I wanted to share with you how I became a “slay-at-home” mommy blogger. Ok, maybe not quite SLAYING as much as I want to but the other day one of my mommy blogger friends described me as “slaying” so I’m OWNING IT!
I wanted to answer some frequently asked questions about becoming a mommy blogger, things I’ve learned and how you can do it too if you want to! DISCLAIMER: IT’S NOT THAT EASY!!! What I mean by that is, it is time consuming! You know how you see all these mommy bloggers on Instagram with perfect looking houses and pictures? Well, it’s not something that happens with the snap of a finger. You might say, why all the staging? Well, I’ll go into that later too. View Post
Earlier this month, I was able to attend the Mom 2.0 Summit in Pasadena, California. It was a 3-day conference filled with so much inspiration, learning, and networking. It was also a time to meet online friends in REAL LIFE! I had the most amazing time away from my normal day-to-day routines to soak up as much as I could about the world of mommy blogging.
So what is this world of mommy blogging about? I’ll have to do another post about how I became one but today I wanted to share with you some thing I learned while at Mom 2.0. View Post

Despite being a teacher for 14 years, I only got the flu shot once. The one time that I did get the flu shot, I got really sick so I vowed to never get it again. Surprisingly, I didn’t get the flu while teaching because I practiced good hygiene and disinfected everything but I think I was pretty lucky. View Post
